Dr. Todd Moore, assistant professor of mathematics, joined the faculty of the University of Saint Mary in 2013.

He earned bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Biology from Kansas State University, as well as both his Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in Mathematics from K-State.

Dr. Moore taught as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for 6 years at K-State before receiving his Ph.D. in 2012. He taught for one year at Fort Hays State University before coming to USM.

Dr. Moore has taught a wide range of courses, from Intermediate Algebra to Topology, including several Independent Study courses.

Dr. Moore's research interest is in the field of Mathematics Education; in particular, with regards to how students' conceptual understanding increases as they progress through the Calculus sequence. Other mathematical interests include Abstract Algebra, Topology, Algebraic Topology, Number Theory, and Knot Theory.
