Adjunct Instructor: Database Programming On Campus

LOCATION:  Leavenworth, KS Campus


Responsible for providing quality instruction to students through well prepared classes, relevant assignments, fair and holistic assessment of learning, clear documentation of student progress, and support of the academic success for at-risk students.


  • Facilitate pre-developed Database Programming course on campus in Leavenworth, Kansas
  • Grade student assignments
  • Assist student understanding through lecture and electronic communications
  • Communicate with Program Director
  • Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus
  • Complete grade books, final grade sheets, learning assessment and final exam assessments on a timely basis.


  • Earned 18 credit hours of Master’s credit in IS, IT, CS or a related field
  • Expertise using SQL, including Selection, Insertion, Joins, Triggers, Views and Constraints
  • Ability to explain difficult concepts, such as coding, to non-technical students
  • Affinity with the Mission of the University of Saint Mary
  • Located in Leavenworth, Kansas


  • Master’s Degree in IS, IT or CS
  • Experience teaching in the higher education setting
  • Experience teaching programming in the higher education setting
