Position Summary:

This position provides administrative support to the Education department. Responsibilities include managing correspondence, scheduling, project management, internal reports/requests, student records processing, phones and other support activities as assigned or requested.


Essential Functions:

  • Performs administrative support duties for the Education Department.

  • Process and prepare a variety of letters, surveys and/or other correspondence.

  • Manages various administrative support level projects, reports and tasks.

  • Effectively and appropriately works with other departments on campus.

  • Maintains confidentiality as necessary.

  • May work special events, which may include an occasional evening and/or weekend.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years related experience.

  • Two years of college is preferred.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Project a positive, professional, customer focused image for the university.

  • Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a professional and confidential manner.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner

  • Initiative in problem solving.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Affinity with the overall mission of the University of Saint Mary.

  • Database management experience.
