Responsible for performing database maintenance and record research for the Development department. This position is part-time (approximately 13 1/2 hours a week) temporary, Monday - Friday, during regular business hours. Additional work hours may be needed due to special events. Position is for the Spring semester only and will end in May, 2013.
Serve as the primary person to update alumni addresses, phone numbers, email, etc.
Enter gift donations in appropriate database and generate receipts as necessary.
Generate donor letters following established department standards.
Update “missing information” in the database and perform necessary “clean-up” for optimum data management.
Work with Registrar to locate “lost” alumni.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to obtain complete and accurate data information and input into system appropriately.
Ability to effectively run reports, queries and mailing lists.
Proficient computer skills and experience with MS Word, Excel. Previous fundraising database experience preferred.
Analytical skills necessary to identify appropriate data processes and provide recommendations for process and data improvement.
Prefer a student, admitted and accepted, to the University of Saint Mary in an approved program of study.
