(Leavenworth, Kan.)—The University of Saint Mary is inviting prospective students to its main campus in Leavenworth on Friday, Oct. 12, to spend a “Discovery Day” learning about what it’s like to be a Saint Mary student and what the university can do for their futures.

The Discovery Day event begins with check-in at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. USM’s Leavenworth campus is located at 4100 South 4th Street.

At the event, future students will get the chance to learn firsthand about USM and its ongoing dedication to academic excellence. Participants will be able to sit in on classes and hear from our expert faculty, explore the admissions process and financial aid options with our friendly and courteous staff, and tour the university’s renovated facilities. Attendees will also receive free USM gear.

Registration is required. Call 1-800-752-7043 or visit www.stmary.edu/discoveryday for information or to register.

Prospective students will hear all about the benefits of Saint Mary, repeatedly named a “Best Midwestern College” by The Princeton Review. Students can forge their own path at Saint Mary, with over 30 majors, minors, and concentrations to choose from, including multiple health care education offerings. USM’s athletic program continues to grow and excel. And the university has also recently implemented a First Year Experience program and an Office of Student Success designed to give students the tools to shine at Saint Mary and maximize their total college experience.

“Discovery Day is a great opportunity for students and families to see the many possibilities that a University of Saint Mary education can offer,” said USM Director of Enrollment Management Ken Wuerzberger.

“We try to make a USM education affordable for every student,” added Annissa Epperson, USM’s director of financial aid. “In fact, 98 percent of all full-time students receive some form of financial aid, including scholarships.”

For military students, the university is a participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program, which supplements existing Post-9/11 GI Bill Benefits. Eligible students will attend USM tuition and fees-free. Visit www.stmary.edu/veterans for details.
