Noon, Friday, Aug. 10, Dub’s Dread Golf Club

(Leavenworth, Kan.)—Enjoy a great day of golf while benefitting a dedicated group of student athletes at the annual University of Saint Mary Golf Classic on Friday, Aug. 10, at Dub’s Dread Golf Club in Kansas City, Kan. Lunch and registration begin at 11 a.m., with a shotgun start to the round of golf at noon.

The annual fundraising event benefits the university’s athletic department, and golfing participants have the chance to improve the college experience for Saint Mary’s high-character student-athletes as well as help USM enhance its sports facilities.

This year, the tournament will be held at Dub’s Dread Golf Club, 12601 Hollingsworth Road in Kansas City, Kan. Entry into the tournament costs $125 per person or $500 for a foursome. Other sponsorship levels are still available. Invite your family and friends to attend the social after the tournament, beginning at approximately 5 p.m.

Call (913) 758-6137 for more information or to register. The registration deadline is Friday, July 27.

Besides playing a round of golf, attendees will also be treated to lunch and have the opportunity to win prizes in longest drive, longest putt, and hole-in-one competitions. Dinner and awards will follow the outing.

“The Saint Mary Golf Classic is always a fun day,” USM Athletic Director Rob Miller said. “You’ll have a great time, and you’ll be playing for a very worthy cause—our Spires athletes. Saint Mary student athletes are routinely recognized for their high character and their academic efforts. They deserve the best college experience possible.”
