Saint Mary Music Students Showcase Their Talents at Recital

(Leavenworth, Kan.)—The University of Saint Mary department of fine arts-music will present the annual Winter Student Recital at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, in the Mead Hall Walnut Room on USM’s Leavenworth campus, 4100 South 4th Street.
The recital is free and open to the public.

The evening’s program will include works by such traditional composers as Bach, Mozart, Frescobaldi, and Mendelssohn as well as songs in Spanish and English by 20th century masters Rodrigo and Rutter.

The recital will feature the USM String Ensemble as well as 13 singers, pianists, and flutists from the ranks of the university’s undergraduate program and Saint Mary preparatory division.

Area students performing at the recital include Taylor Welch and Briana Janas of Leavenworth, Kan.; Emma Vavricek, Hayley Webb, and Alexander Pedroza of Basehor, Kan., Sarah DaMetz and Daniel Christie of Lansing, Kan., andAshley Muldoon of Bonner Springs, Kan.
