USM’s Active Aging Fair compliments the national Active Aging Week celebration. The International Council on Active Aging® (ICAA) initiated the active aging campaign in 2003—calling attention to the positivity of aging today. The weeklong movement is meant to showcase the capabilities of older adults and encourage as many older adults as possible to engage in wellness activities and exercises in a safe, supportive environment.
