USM Hosts Concert by Captivating Goldenberg Duo

(Leavenworth, Kan.)—The University of Saint Mary department of fine arts-music will present a free performance by the renowned Goldenberg Duo at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, in the Mead Hall Walnut Room on USM’s Main Campus in Leavenworth, at 4100 South 4th Street.
The performance is free and the public is cordially invited.
The sister and brother team of violinist Susan Goldenberg and pianist William Goldenberg have captivated audiences throughout the world including recent performances at the Amalfi Coast Festival in Italy, as well as appearances in Japan, China, Sweden, and at the American Cathedral in Paris. Later this year they will travel to the United Kingdom for a series of events.
Susan Goldenberg has been a member of the first violin section of the Kansas City Symphony for the past 34 years. William Goldenberg has performed more than 1,000 concerts as a keyboard soloist and collaborative pianist. His discography includes a collaboration with Vermeer Quartet violinist Pierre Menard, and he is currently Distinguished Professor and Chair of Piano at Northern Illinois University.
The Goldenberg’s repertoire is eclectic, ranging from Bach to late 20th and early 21st century composers.
