USM's Goppert Art Gallery Exhibits Works of Ariel Baron-Robbins

(Leavenworth, Kan.)—The University of Saint Mary Goppert Art Gallery welcomes the interdisciplinary show, “2013-2017,” of artist Ariel Baron-Robbins of Miami, Fla. Her work focuses on the body, psycho-geography, and movement—and will culminate her works from the past three years, plus three new works from 2017.
The opening reception for the event will be from 3-5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, in the Goppert Gallery. An “Artist Talk” will begin at 3:10 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The show will be on display weekdays through March 10 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Along with being an accomplished artist, Baron-Robbins is currently a resident at the Artcenter in South Florida. Prior to this residency, she completed a residency at Fountainhead Studios in Miami. She has exhibited in numerous galleries across the United States, including Krowswork Gallery in Oakland, Calif.; Deffebach Gallery in Hudson, N.Y.; and in The Museum of Fine Arts in Tampa, Fla. Baron-Robbins has also had five solo exhibitions in her career as an artist. Originally from Oxford, Miss., Baron-Robbins received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Mississippi and her Master of Fine Art from the University of South Florida.
