Please read De Paul Library’s circulation and borrower information policy. If you have any questions, contact the circulation desk at 913-758-6306.
Books, DVDs, and other Audiovisual Materials are loaned to Saint Mary students for one month and to faculty/staff for the semester.
Patrons not affiliated with the university but holding Saint Mary Library cards may borrow items for one month and have them renewed once.
Items may be renewed in person, by phone, or by email.
Periodicals, Reference, and Special Collections items do not circulate. An appointment must be made with the Library Director in order to tour or use Special Collections.
Recall – If a patron needs any item which is already on loan, the library will place a hold on it and notify the original borrower that it has been requested. The item must then be returned to the library by the due date or a fine will be imposed.
Reserves –Faculty may place their own or library materials on reserve at the Circulation Desk for the convenience of their students. Time limits are determined by the faculty member and may vary from in-library use to several days. Reserve materials should be returned directly to the Circulation Desk.
Interlibrary Loan – Students and faculty needing books or periodicals not available in De Paul Library may request them through the interlibrary loan request form. Off-campus patrons are encouraged to contact their public library or home academic library to arrange for interlibrary loans.
