* To assist the Business, Accounting, and Sport Management Department (BASMD) in ensuring that students are prepared for advanced classes, all new students entering the University beginning in the 2010/2011 academic year who wish to be BASMD majors must make a grade of “C” in all the following principles classes:

  • AC251 Principles of Accounting

  • MGT231 Principles of Management

  • MKT231 Principles of Marketing

  • SM250 Introduction to Sport Management (SM Majors Only)

 

**Upon completion of the fifth year of studies, students must have accumulated a total of 150 credit hours of coursework to sit for the CPA exam. This must include:

  • 30 hours in accounting theory & practice

  • 11 hours in written & oral communications

  • 42 hours in business & general education

  • 67 hours of other college-level courses

 

Program completion time will vary based on each student's prior coursework and time available to complete courses.

 

***The MBA with a concentration in Accounting requires 9 hours of graduate level accounting:
