Sister Mary Pat Lenahan, Ph.D.

Sister Mary Pat Lenahan joined the University of Saint Mary faculty more than 22 years ago. Prior to coming to USM, she taught in high schools and also served in administration for almost 20 years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary in English with a minor in secondary education, her Master’s Degree from the University of San Francisco and Ph.D. from the University of Missouri Kansas City. As a professor of future teachers and professional leaders, Sister Mary Pat provides a caring and compassionate community through content knowledge, effective strategies, best practices, and critical reflection. She challenges her students to utilize knowledge, skills, and dispositions to connect theory with practice in life-long learning.
