Dr. David Greene, professor of psychology and chair of USM's Psychology program, received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Colorado State University, his Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, and Guidance from the University of Northern Colorado, and his Ph.D. in Human Resource Development from Colorado State University.
He spent more than 15 years serving with a variety of public and private counseling agencies before becoming a full-time professor.
In 1994, Greene became a professor at the University of Saint Mary and has served as program director of the human services, applied psychology, and psychology programs, directed the graduate psychology program, and served as the behavioral sciences department chair.
Greene’s favorite courses include psychopathology, social psychology, and professional ethics.
A past winner of the coveted Sullivan Award for Teaching Excellence, Greene believes developing instructor-learner relationships and engaging students in contemporary, immediately applicable methods is essential.
