David K. Reynolds believes the best way for students to learn is by “doing.” Applying this philosophy, Reynolds presents upper-level curriculum in a “project-based” format, where students are challenged to address situations with real-life solutions. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Southwest Missouri State University, Master’s Degrees from Webster University and University of Missouri—Kansas City.
A tenured associate professor, Reynolds received the coveted Sullivan Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2011. He is the faculty sponsor of Phi Beta Lambda, the collegiate business fraternity. His background includes more than 30 years of experience in the marketing and advertising industry. Prior to joining USM, he was the vice president of marketing for Muller+Company, a Kansas City advertising agency specializing in destination marketing.
Reynolds is a nationally recognized planner and strategist. He is frequently asked to participate in seminars and workshops in tourism and marketing. He also serves on a number of boards and commissions related economic development.
