Dr. Ronald Logan is chair of the University of Saint Mary Business, Accounting and Sport Management Department. He moved into this position in 2007 after serving three years as the vice president and dean of USM’s Overland Park Campus.
Prior to joining USM, Dr. Logan was associated with Rockhurst’s University School of Management for 15 years, where he served in various positions including associate dean of the Helzberg School of Management. Dr. Logan joined Rockhurst after a 20-year career in the corporate sector with such companies as Hallmark, Westvaco, and Josten’s American Yearbook.
He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in economics from the University of Missouri— Kansas City (UMKC), a Master of Business Administration from Rockhurst University, and an Ed.D. from the University of Kansas.
He is also a member of the American Economic Association.
Dr. Logan teaches micro and macroeconomics, international political economy, leadership and international business. His teaching approach is very Socratic, and he links class learning with issues occurring in the local, state, national and international arenas.
