Dr. Don Kellogg,
Director, Health Information Managment
Dr. Don Kellogg is the director of the Health Information Management program. As well as being credentialed as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), he is a Certified Professional in Electronic Health Records (CPEHR). Prior to coming to the University of Saint Mary, Dr. Kellogg taught at Washburn University and was the chairperson of the HIM program at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dr. Kellogg has presented at both state and national professional meetings and has updated two chapters in a foundational Health Information Technology textbook. He has been active both with the state HIM association (president, delegate, numerous committee chairs) as well as with the American Health Information Management Association (chair of the Educational Strategies Committee as well as reviewer forPerspectives in HIM) and he is a board member and commissioner (as well as the former chair) of the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).
