Mishel (Sheli) White, RHIA
After graduating with highest honors from University of Kansas Medical Center in 1997, White started working at Sabetha Community Hospital which is a Critical Access Hospital in northeast Kansas. She became an RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) in 1998 and has been an active member in AHIMA and KHIMA ever since. White served as the director of the HIM department for more than seven years and played an instrumental part in choosing and preparing our paper-based HIM department for the impending Electronic Health Record.
In addition, White has served on many committees over the years including those designed to prepared for ICD-10 code set implementation. She is very excited to share her experiences and educate future HIM leaders in all aspects of the HIM field and especially HIM’s role in Revenue Cycle Management.
