Karen Kidder received her BSN from the University of Maryland School of Nursing at Baltimore, WRAIN Center.
Her Master of Science in Nursing is from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
Kidder’s military career included medical-surgical nursing, infection control, quality improvement, administration, and staff education, with assignments in the United States and Germany.
After retiring from the military, she was a school nurse for middle and high school for seven years, then worked in Long Term Care and then in the Emergency Department at a small local hospital.
She has been a lecturer, clinical instructor, and taught online in an Associate Degree Nursing program.
Kidder has been with the Saint Mary BSN program since August 2010, and is the Coordinator for the Accelerated Track BSN Program.
She is active in the music and education ministries at her local church, and is taking classes through Carlow University towards a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree.
