Hungry? We're here to help.
Spiro's cupboard is a new food exchange available free to all USM students.
Located in De Paul Library
in the East corner, and open during library hours.
How does it work? It's simple, really:
1. Take what you need.
Worried where your next meal is going to come from?
Too much month at the end of your money?
Can't shop for groceries until payday?
That's why Spiro's Cupboard exists.
2. Give when you can.
Find a great sale on canned veggies?
Realized that you have WAY too many cans of tuna?
When you have extra, you can give back to help the shelves of Spiro's Cupboard stay full.
Because you can't learn on an empty stomach.
Meeting the needs of the Saint Mary community, we invite students to take what they need, and give back when they can.
You can help!
Spread the word to students who may be hungry, and those in your spheres of influence who might be able to support the effort.
Give what you can. The goal is to provide shelf-stable, nutritious foods (not just junk food or snacks) to nourish our student body.
Items most needed include:
Tuna (cans & pouches)
Canned Vienna sausages
Canned pork & beans
Canned fruit / fruit cups
Shelf-stable microwaveable meals
Microwaveable mac & cheese cups (no milk or butter required)
