The Adverse Childhood Experiences Study is the “largest public health study you never heard of.”

Kaiser Permanente Health Care and the Centers for Disease Control joined forces between 1995-97 to determine the long-term effects of childhood experiences on health and well-being.

The 17,000 participants continue to be monitored long-term. This presentation will provide information from this study, which is a wealth of helpful information in understanding ourselves and others.

This is an overview of a format for anyone who is a position to be a “gatekeeper” for someone who may be considering suicide.

A “gatekeeper” can be anyone — friend, neighbor, faculty, staff, or fellow student.
