The applied
psychology program provides an applied
behavioral science degree designed primarily
for evening/weekend, non-traditional students, and is available through USM's Overland Park Campus.
Applied psychology students will learn the theories, techniques, skills and ethics
involved in the helping professions. |

The USM applied psychology degree:
-
gives students a basis for understanding human behavior and is valuable for anyone working in social services
- prepares you as a generalist for positions in a variety of public and private agencies, programs, institutions, and businesses
- readies you for continued graduate studies, generally a requirement for the professional fields of psychology
- can be used to enhance your performance in another career field such as teaching or coaching
