Education
If there's one subject we know at USM it's education. In fact, education was one of the first two majors offered at the school when USM was founded.
USM's interactive and integrative teacher education program
- prepares future teachers to become excellent value-based educators
- features knowledgeable, caring instructors who emphasize the political and moral nature of teaching in today's global society
Accredited by the Kansas State Department of Education and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, the USM Education degree program offers a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and a minor in Secondary Education.
Elementary Education allows graduates to teach kindergarten through sixth grade and Secondary Education (plus a set major) allows graduates to teach sixth through 12th grade.
The Elementary Education degree is also available through USM's undergraduate degree completion program. |
