English Careers |
| |

|
Because the English program develops a student's writing ability and critical thinking
skills, it prepares majors for a variety of careers.
Graduates
go on to become lawyers, public relations officers,
business owners, communication specialists, administrators,
teachers, journalists, and authors. Students who complete the USM program are also prepared to enter grad school in English, business, law, and other specializations.
Specific
career programs are good accompaniments
to the major, including the pre-law preparation
and the communications concentration.
