Information Systems & Technology
The Information Systems and Technology program at the University of Saint Mary is designed to give students an understanding and appreciation of the ways IT has come to affect society as a whole and the business world more specifically.
This 39 credit-hour major:
Prepares you to work in any discipline
Gives you strong problem solving and time management skills
Provides an understanding of how technology works in today's society
Majors develop the necessary understanding, knowledge, and skills sets for handling IT issues, while also gaining the attributes needed to be an IT manager and thrive in a technology-related environment. The major is also designed to teach students to harness the emotional and intellectual flexibility to cope with change in a fast-paced work environment.
With IT a constant on fastest-growing careers lists, the USM program prepares graduates to succeed in a variety of arenas—the business world, education, nonprofit organizations and government.
As an IT major, you'll also learn the business and accounting skills that will make you a valuable asset to any employer in a rapidly changing world. And you'll have the benefit of learning the skills in a total college environment.
