Medical Technology Required Courses |

| FOUR-YEAR
PROGRAM |
Three
years of study at the University
of Saint Mary (a minimum of 98
hours) followed by a twelve-month
internship in a school of medical
technology approved by the NAACLS
Board of the American Medical Association.
After successfully completing the clinical program, students receive
30 credits and earn the degree, Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology.
Certification as an M.T. is granted when the registry examination is
successfully completed.
Because clinical programs may vary in specific courses required for admission,
students should contact the program they wish to attend for information
regarding prerequisites for admission. |

FIVE-YEAR
PROGRAM |
A
four-year course of study leading
to a Bachelor of Science degree
in Chemistry or Biology.
Students then enter a twelve-month internship in a school of medical
technology approved by the NAACLS Board of the American Medical Association.
After successfully completing the registry examination, students are
certified as Registered Medical Technologist. |
