Dr. William Krusemark is chair of the Department of Fine Arts and a professor of music. He's served as director of vocal studies at the University of Saint Mary for 30 years. Dr. Krusemark received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music Education from the University of Kansas and a Doctorate of Voice from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Dr. Krusemark has sung extensively throughout the United States and Germany. During his time in New York City, he was baritone soloist for both the St. Thomas Choir of Men and Boys at St. Thomas Church on Fifth Avenue and the National Chorale at Lincoln Center. He also sang 16 years with the Lyric Opera of Kansas City and was a founding member and baritone soloist of the Kansas City Chorale.
Dr. Krusemark is a frequent clinician and adjudicator for league choral festivals, the Kansas State High School Activities Association, the Kansas City Music Club, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. He serves as baritone soloist for New Reform Temple of Kansas City, Mo., and as director of the chancel choir of Bethany Lutheran Church of Overland Park, Kan.

Freda Proctor is assistant professor of music and instrumental music coordinator at the University of Saint Mary. Proctor has been teaching here for 21 years, and is a master pianist, organist, and flutist.
Proctor received her Bachelor of Music in Piano and Flute Performance from Wichita State University and her Master of Arts in Piano and Class Piano Pedagogy from Eastern Illinois University. She started her musical studies at age 5, and spent several years in the Chicago area teaching flute at Wheaton College, piano at the College of DuPage, accompanying professionally, playing flute in a small symphony, and playing organ in a large church.
Proctor is active as a performer, teacher, and adjudicator. She especially enjoys accompanying chamber music, and played at Carnegie Hall. She directs the USM Community Band, chamber music ensembles, and Bells of Saint Mary Handbell Choir.
