Faculty

Dr. Randy Scott is a professor of history, political science, and economics with the University of Saint Mary. He earned his bachelor’s in political science and sociology from the University of Northern Iowa, his master’s of social work from KU, his master’s in political science from UMKC, and his Ph.D. in political science and history from UMKC. Prior to joining USM’s staff, Dr. Scott was a social worker for 10 years, working with severely emotionally disabled children, persons living with HIV/AIDS, and homeless mentally ill persons.

 


USM political science and history majors have worked as interns at the Kansas State Capital in Topeka, in Washington, D.C., the State Department, and at Fort Leavenworth.
