The students of
History 569, headed by Professor Ken Muliken
are approaching the realm of studies for
historical methods from a more engaging
perspective this fall. Students, firstly,
conduct oral interviews with the Sisters
of Charity in the Mother House.
They then
spend the semester engaging in critical
thinking and research analysis comparing
the Sisters stories with their class content.
Students then follow up with their perspective
nuns at the end of the semester to discuss
what they have learned in the course regarding
the study of history and its application
to today's world. It is a strong possibility
that students will, in the near future,
compile these historical stories in a booklet
and donate them to the Sisters of Charity,
so that the Sisters can have a collection
of their stories on file to share with
others!
