Students
who plan to become theatre teachers should
consult the teacher education adviser
for theatre early in their program.
Teacher certification requires specific major and/or supporting courses not required
of all theatre majors, e.g., COM 120 Public Speaking.
Students must apply for admission to the teacher education program at the end
of their sophomore year.
See Secondary Education section for further information. |

USM theatre majors recently performed
the play "What
Can a Woman Do?", adapted
by Van Ibsen for the Sister's
of Charity 150 year jubilee.
The play will be presented at
the Folly Theatre,
March 16, 2008 in two performances
at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm..
“We provide “hands on” real experience in the theatre. Our alumni believe in their education from USM. We would love to compare a senior theatre student’s resume with any other university in the U.S.A.”
Van Ibsen
