Saint Mary offers students the opportunity
to travel abroad to study for a summer,
a semester, or a full year. Through our
partnerships with other colleges, it is possible to study at various
locations in Europe, Latin America, or Australia. If none of those
are to your liking, it is possible to make other arrangements
for study almost anywhere in the world.
If you are interested in studying
in another country, you should begin
planning early in order to be prepared
as far in advance as possible. Let
your academic advisor know that you
are interested in going abroad and
that you would like assistance with
your planning. Our study abroad partner
colleges offer limited financial assistance
based on need and merit.
Study tours are a special feature
of the departments of history, English,
and fine arts. These have included
trips to the South and the East to
visit historical sites; to New York
and London to experience the theatre;
and to Chicago and St. Louis to view
special art exhibitions. Groups also
have toured England, Scotland, and
Ireland, as well as Greece, Italy,
Spain, France, Russia, and Mexico.
