USM Supporters Hit the Links for Spires Sports 
Saint Mary supporters, faculty, and staff hacked away for a good cause at the 2011 USM Golf Classic on Aug. 11.

The 2011 edition of the event was held at Dub's Dread Golf Club in Kansas City, Kan. The golf classic benefits USM sports programs, helping to improve the overall college experience for Saint Mary Spires student athletes.

The field of over 50 golfers braved the mid-August heat to play. The day began with a great lunch provided cooked up by the Saint Mary athletic department.

“Our boosters made a serious show of support for our fine and dedicated student athletes,” said Athletic Director Rob Miller. “Thanks to their help, our athletes will receive the best possible opportunity to develop the key life skills of teamwork, fair play, and dedication that are the hallmark of a quality athletics program.”
