General Description: The
University of St. Mary Department of
Nursing invites qualified candidates
to join an energetic and creative faculty
in the on-campus pre-licensure program. The
program is approved by the Kansas Board
of Nursing and is accredited by the
Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
We are currently seeking
adjunct faculty for clinical instruction
in all specialty
areas for the 2008-2009 academic year. Previous
teaching experience is desired. Applicants
must also demonstrate the ability to
work with a diverse student population
and the ability to work cooperatively
with departmental faculty and staff.
Qualifications: Licensure
as a Registered Professional Nurse
in the state of Kansas or ability
to obtain such licensure prior to finalization
of contract. A bachelor's
degree in nursing with work towards
a Master's degree in nursing is
required. Current clinical
experience is also required.
Preferred Qualification: Progressive
experience in teaching in a university
pre-licensure nursing program. Master's
degree in Nursing and a Doctorate in
Nursing or a related discipline.
