JOB SUMMARY:
The University of Saint Mary, USM, is a Catholic, liberal arts university located in Leavenworth, Kansas. Under supervision of the University Registrar, this position performs technical and statistical reporting duties for the University of Saint Mary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with institutional research and planning projects, including collection, coding, and reporting
- Develop research reports, tables and graphics and other documents using computer applications
- Completes all required Federal and state reports
- Complete and submit various surveys
- Review and proofread documents, records and forms for accuracy, completeness and conformance to applicable rules and regulations
- Works to assist USM in meeting all compliance standards for standardized student testing, research projects, and evaluations
- Assist in the development of accurate and timely reporting across a number of areas to include Institutional Research, Retention, and Recruitment
- Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires long periods of time at a computer terminal
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Higher education and database management a plus
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Word processing, spreadsheet, and other office applications
ABILITY TO:
- Use positive interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate strong technical, database management, and report generating skills
- Maintain complex and varied files and records
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Meet schedules and time lines
