Job Title: Safety, Compliance and Security
Manager
Introduction:
The University of Saint
Mary is conducting a search for a full
time Campus Security and Safety Manager.
Under the direction of the Director of
Facilities, this position will be the
point of contact for State and Federal
Government compliance organizations such
as EPA, OSHA, State Fire Marshal Office
and KDHE. In addition, this position
is responsible to provide leadership
for 6 officers of the campus security
department.
Job Summary:
• Conduct safety audits and physical inspections
of University buildings, departments
and grounds for regulatory compliance.
Recommend and implement changes for correction
of non-compliance issues.
• Develop programs to ensure the University
is compliant with federal, state and
local safety regulations.
• Maintain records of audits and inspections
for regulatory compliance.
• Daily oversight and management of security
officers
Knowledge, Skills
and Personal Characteristics:
• Strong verbal and written communication
skills
• Possess sound analytical, organizational
and decision making abilities
• Capacity to handle multiple projects
simultaneously
• Ability to conduct safety inspections
and system tests across campus in multiple
environments
• Excellent team building skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of
directly relevant experience. Specialized
education may be substituted for part
of the required experience.
