Title: Director of Residence Life
Job Summary:
The Director of Residence Life functions
as a part of a comprehensive Student
Life team. Primarily responsible
for coordinating residence life programs,
student housing, campus discipline,
and student activities. Assists with
New Student Orientation, Student
Government Association, and Campus
Activities Board.
Essential Functions:
•
Responsible for residence life operations
including, but not limited to, residence
community development, residence hall
policies and procedures, and room changes.
•
Trains, supervises, and evaluations
activities of 3-6 Graduate Assistants
who work directly or indirectly for
Student Life – both in the residence
halls and additional Student Life responsibilities.
•
Serves as student discipline coordinator
and oversees campus-wide judicial system.
•
Assists with supervising, training,
and evaluating the Peer Mentor staff.
•
Coordinates with facilities and housekeeping
to address residence hall concerns.
•
Works with student life staff to develop
and promotes student life and campus
academic programs.
•
Responsible for the campus on-call
duty system including serving as primary
point of contact for student crisis
intervention when necessary.
•
Assists in new student orientation
program (INTRO).
•
Oversees and assists with student activities,
events, and organizations as needed.
•
Submits an annual budget and a written,
comprehensive annual report to the
Dean of Students.
•
Other job-related duties as assigned.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Education, Experience, Skills Required:
Must reside within 20 minutes of campus.
On campus housing available.
Master’s degree.
Two years student affairs experience
or equivalent preferred.
