 Living on the Saint
Mary campus provides you with the opportunity
to form lifetime friendships. You will
meet new friends with a variety of
backgrounds and interests. Many
of those friendships begin when you
meet your roommate, next door neighbor,
or someone down the hall.
The mission of the
Department of Residence Life is to
promote the growth and development
of the whole student and to enhance
the learning environment. The presence
of the Department of Residence Life
and its staff is evidence of the
commitment of University of Saint
Mary to the idea that education extends
beyond the classroom. Therefore,
the effort is concerned with the
growth and total development of the
student, not only academically, but
also in areas of social, cultural,
physical, and moral (ethical) development. The
Department of Residence Life and
its staff, working cooperatively
with the Department of Student Life,
is challenged by, and dedicated to,
assisting students in gaining as
much as possible from a "total"university
experience.
