Maria Hall photo

Maria Hall, originally constructed in in 1964, has recently undergone a $1 million renovation.

The dorm, which houses freshmen and sophomores on its second, third, fourth, and fifth floors, features cable and high-speed internet access and suite-style rooms.

Other Maria ammenities include:
• A hall laundry room
• Common kitchens
• Lounge with a big-screen TV and recreation games including pool, foosball, and ping pong
• Study lounge
• No lofting beds
• XL twin beds

Another advantage of Maria Hall: USM's underground tunnel system. The dorm is connected to the rest of campus through the tunnels, meaning students can—and often do—make it to class in shorts and flip flops even during the coldest of winter days.

Rooms are double-occupancy with a bathroom between every two rooms. All rooms have desks, chairs, dressers, and large closets. Single and private rooms are available for sophomores and second semester freshmen as space allows
