Benefits & Scholarships

Army ROTC Scholarships are designed to meet the needs of recipients, and are based on the number of years a student needs to complete their degree. Besides full tuition, scholarship recipients also are eligible for additional stipends for books, living expenses, and college fees.

Learn more about these and other ROTC scholarship offerings.

Most Army ROTC Scholarship recipients must commit to serve four years full-time in the Army. A select number of cadets, however, can serve part-time in the Army Reserve or National Guard while pursuing civilian careers.

To be considered, you must be a U.S. citizen, between the ages of 17 and 26, have a 2.5 high school or college GPA, have a minimum ACT score of 19 or SAT score of 920, and meet certain physical fitness requirements.

"USM's ROTC emphasizes leadership and core Army values. That, and the level of commitment ROTC calls for, makes a great impression on both your teachers and peers and on future employers."
