About Us

USM Department of Public Safety (DPS).
Officers patrol the campus by vehicle and on foot as a uniformed visual deterrent to crime and to assist the students, faculty, staff, and visitors as needed.

Some of the services we provide:

• Security Escorts
• Fire Prevention
• Parking Enforcement
• Building Lock/Unlock
• Athletic Event Security

We do not unlock or jumpstart vehicles for liability reasons , but we will gladly call a tow truck/locksmith to assist you.

We enjoy a close working relationship with the Leavenworth Police and Fire Departments.


The USM campus is patroled by a campus security vechicle.
