The Student Life
office offers a wide range of opportunities
for student involvement and leadership
development. The office also serves
as a resource to all student organizations
and their advisors. A list of registered
organizations and members is updated
every fall by Student Life.
The
Campus Activities Board (CAB)
is a student group that plans special
events for the campus: concerts, comedians,
discount movie nights at local theaters,
as well as special trips to professional
sporting events, area cultural events,
and other points of interest.
Student Life also collaborates
with other campus offices and academic
departments to provide leadership development,
workshops, and programs. These programs
allow students to gain knowledge about
leading student organizations, managing
finances and budgets, and collaborating
with fellow students from diverse backgrounds,
among many others. In addition,
registered student organizations can
use supplies in the "Chop Shop" to create
signs and posters for events.

New Student Orientation
New students are formally introduced to the campus during Fall INTRO
(or Fall Orientation) and Spring Orientation, as well as during summer time
pre-registration opportunities. During orientation, students also become acquainted
with their new classmates and with campus organizations. The faculty and staff
orient parents of new students through Parent Orientation each fall, as well.

Leadership Opportunities
The University of Saint Mary provides students with an informal, family-like atmosphere.
Students regularly interact with faculty outside of the classroom and are offered
many opportunities for involvement in various campus activities. All students
are encouraged to participate in campus activities and organizations, which
provide educational, social, spiritual, and leadership development.
