Association for Supervision & Curriculum Development (ASCD)
The Association for Supervision & Curriculum Development (ASCD) is a nationwide group of educators that work to keep educators informed about current trends and policies in the education field. ASCD holds forums and conferences and publishes literature for its members. USM's chapter is the only one recognized at both the state and national levels in Kansas.

Campus Activities Board (CAB)
The Campus Activities Board (CAB) plans and implements activities for the entire student body population. CAB's most popular activities include monthly bowling parties, discount movie nights, comedians, dances, and music concerts. Activities are usually free of charge or reasonably priced.

Campus Ministry is here to provide a fun, spiritual atmosphere for students and faculty. Campus Ministry accepts those from every denomination to share the spirit of Christ.

Fine Arts Drama Club
The Drama Club produces the student theatre production every year. In February 2009, the production was "Feiffer's People." The club directs, designs, produces, and budgets the entire production.

Peer Mentors
Upper class students who have demonstrated a high level of maturity, responsibility, leadership, and interpersonal skills can serve as role models for younger students. Peer Mentors are a source of support for all students, particularly those in their first year on the USM campus. At least one Peer Mentor lives on every floor of the Saint Mary residence halls.

Phi Alpha Theta
Phi Alpha Theta is a national honors society for students with interest in history (not necessarily History majors). Members earn acceptance to the honor society, joining other students already in the organization. Phi Alpha Theta also provides greater access to other similar organizations and groups and scholarly materials.

Science and Math Club (SAM)
The Science and Math Club (SAM) provides educational, service, and social opportunities for students interested in science and mathematics. SAM members participate in field trips, student presentations, poster presentations, and other academic activities. The group provides services to the community by engaging in recycling projects on campus and by sponsoring food drives. SAM meets monthly while school is in session.

Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)
The purpose of SIFE is to help mould today's students into tomorrow's leaders by teaching and emphasizing effective management skills. The group holds a regular Leadership Academy that teaches communications skills, the art of delegation, problem-solving, and strategic planning. And, as USM is a Catholic university, SIFE also stresses the importance of ethics in leadership.

Student Government Association (SGA) and Tower Power
The SGA is the chief voice and organizational body for students. Under its leadership, students communicate their needs to the university. Because the university and SGA are committed to the mission of service, SGA, through Tower Power, raises funds and awareness for not-for-profit agencies. In recent years, SGA has raised funds for numerous agencies throughout Kansas. The freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior classes are each represented on SGA. SGA also provides fun, traditional events for the campus.
