Accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)*, the University of Saint Mary's online RN to BSN program offers registered nurses the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing while continuing in their current positions.
There are eight nursing courses and one support course (and nine required non-nursing courses) in the university's online RN to BSN degree program. The program is built on the strong liberal arts foundation as required in the AACN Essentials of Baccalaureate Education**. Student learning outcomes focus on enhanced critical thinking, decision-making, leadership and communication skills. The program is founded on Sister Simon Roach's concept of caring. The five C's of caring - commitment, conscience, competence, compassion, and confidence - are emphasized throughout the program.
