7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10 | Annunciation Chapel
(Leavenworth, Kan.)—The University of Saint Mary Department of Fine Arts will hold its annual Founders' Day Concert, commemorating the 1858 arrival of the Sisters of Charity in Leavenworth, at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, in the Annunciation Chapel on USM's Leavenworth campus, 4100 South 4th Street.
The Founders' Day Concert is free and open to the public.
The University Concert Chorale and the University Community Band are under the direction of Dr. David N. Vance and accompanied by Jonnie Brice.
The chorale will share a program of choral works from Rosephanye Powell, David N. Childs, traditional tunes, spirituals, and songs from the Renaissance period. The band will share pieces from Holst, La Plante, Whitacre, and Sousa.
